Happy 100th birthday to Evelyn Scott
Evelyn Scott, president of the Riverside Golden Agers senior social group, recently celebrated her 100th birthday at the organization’s July meeting.
Riverside Township congratulates her on reaching such a monumental milestone and commends her for the many years of appreciative service she has provided within the Township community. A dedicated and always active individual, she is a prime example of someone who never lets age slow them down.

Thanks to quick thinking, daughter’s OK
I would like to thank the two women who heard my 7-year-old daughter’s cries from inside the locked trunk of my car last Thursday evening. I understand one of you stayed with her at the car on Lawton while the other went to the Riverside Police Department.
When I arrived on the scene, my daughter had been rescued from the trunk by the police and was sitting with you both. My daughter was being checked out in the ambulance and when we got out, you were gone. I wish I could have thanked you then, but I would like to take the opportunity to thank you now.
My daughter and I will be forever grateful for your calm, quick thinking.
