Grace M. Folliard, 85, a resident of Brookfield for 62 years, died Oct. 15, 2010, at ManorCare Nursing Home in Westmont.
She was married to John P. Folliard, who preceded his wife in death on Oct. 20, 1997. The couple had five children and lived in the village since 1948. Ms. Folliard was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis of Assisi, the Seton Club and the Council of Catholic Women at St. Barbara Parish in Brookfield. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, tending her house plants and having thoughtful conversations.
Ms. Folliard is survived by her children, Patricia (Neil) Fortune, Mary Folliard, Peggy (John) Duffy. Terrence (Diane) Folliard and John (Patrice) Folliard; her grandchildren, Sheila Fortune, Laura Fortune, Kevin Fortune, Katie (Gabriel) Regalado, Maureen Duffy, Amy Duffy, Julie (Joe) Polasek, Joe Folliard, Nick Folliard, Bridget Folliard, Brendan Folliard, Brian Folliard and Brett Folliard; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey Polasek and Gracie Regalado.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 3845-47 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Barbara Parish or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
