What was Brookfield board thinking on church vote?

What was the Brookfield Board of Trustees thinking when it voted down Linda Sokol Francis’ plan for a community center/church on the vacant property on Grand Boulevard near Eight Corners?

Perhaps they want to leave it vacant for the next 10, 20 years or so. Or maybe another eyesore, ugly condo as went up on 31st Street.

So, come on guys, the Eight Corners is a unique area and it could use a little class. I think you should rethink that “no” vote.
