Eileen McMahon, of Chicago and formerly of Riverside, died Jan. 25, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ms. McMahon was one of 11 children raised Mary (nee Kearin) and the late Francis McMahon in their home on Akenside Road in Riverside. A successful businesswoman, Ms. McMahon enjoyed sharing the finer things in life with family and friends, and especially liked spending time at her home in Long Beach, Ind.
She is survived by her mother; her siblings Phil (Catherine) McMahon, Mary Jo (Dan) Schaeflein, Mike (Mary Beth) McMahon, Kathy (Joe) Marek, Patti (Greg) Andrews, Bob (Bernadette) McMahon, Maureen (Jim) Kenneally, John (Sue) McMahon, Geri (Ed) McMahon, and Teri (Dave) Jacobs; her aunts, Eleanor Carroll and Peggy Carey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 29 at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
