Residents interested in giving input on the subject of on-street parking in Brookfield will have another chance to do so at the village’s Public Safety Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at S.E. Gross Middle School, 3524 Maple Ave.
This will be the second of two meetings scheduled to address the issue in 2011.
Village officials in April 2010 recommended that street parking be allowed only on the north and east sides of the street. They also recommended that no parking at all be allowed during snow emergencies, defined as three or more inches of snow, and on street sweeping days.
The committee is looking for potential improvements to or concerns about to the village’s proposal.
