I would like to thank the British Home and salute fellow Boy Scout Karl Jantze.

Karl and I belong to Troop 24 at Riverside Presbyterian Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Karl gathered 40 scouts, siblings and parents to make needed improvements in the home’s landscaping.

In an Eagle Scout service project, scouts take on community responsibility to leave something better than we found it. Troop 24 and Troop 92, the two troops representing Riverside, are always on the lookout for meaningful projects.

I thank the British Home for opening itself to Karl and Troop 24. The village of Riverside, District 96, the Ronald McDonald House and many more have welcomed us. Many area businesses have supported our efforts with donated goods. Thank you so much to all that have helped.

I hope our donors’ pride in helping us matches our gratitude for their encouragement.
