The Brookfield Beautification Commission is accepting entries for its 4th Annual Garden Contest.
Enter your garden or nominate the garden of a neighbor. Gardens must be on residential property located in Brookfield, conform to village codes and must be visible from the street.
Judging will be based on interest and appeal, combination of plants, interesting architectural features and originality of design. Judging will be done July 23 by members of the Beautification Commission.
Prizes will be given for first place, second place and third place along with village recognition and a sign in your yard.
Registration and photo release forms, which are available from village hall or online at www.brookfieldil.gov, must be turned in by July 14 to the Brookfield Beautification Commission, 8820 Brookfield Ave., Brookfield, Ill. 60513.
