Brookfield Zoo will host one of its Real Fan Days promotions – celebrating the Chicago Bears – on July 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The event is a celebration of the team and their connection to the real grizzly bears at Brookfield Zoo’s newest exhibit, Great Bear Wilderness. Festivities include appearances by legendary Chicago Bears players and Staley Da Bear, animal zoo chats, a scavenger hunt, football skill games and more.
Visitors wearing official Chicago Bears apparel on July 16 and July 17 will receive a 20-percent discount off zoo admission. All activities are free with regular admission of $13.50 for adults and $9.50 for children 3 to 11 and seniors 65 and over. Children 2 and under are free. Parking is $9.
Get autographs from past Chicago Bears greats such as Steve McMichael, Keith Van Horne, Dennis McKinnon and Otis Wilson; try out your play-by-play calling skills inside the broadcast “karaoke” booth; and test out your football skills on the West Mall after bursting on to the field through the Bears inflatable tunnel.
