Kristina Novakovich (nee Ikonic), 74, of North Riverside and formerly of Berwyn, died July 29, 2011 at the British Home in Brookfield.
Ms. Novakovich was born in Yugoslavia on July 28, 1937 and was married to Stanislav Novakovich, who preceded his wife in death. She was a line worker at the Western Electric company in Cicero prior to retirement.
She is survived by her children, Milorad Novakovich, Milica (Milovan) Bojovic and Dragan (Sandra) Novakovich; her grandchildren, Dragan (Jennifer) Bojovic, Alexander Bojovic, Carl Novakovich, Dragan Novakovich Jr., Nina Novakovich and Isabella Novakovich; her brother, Radovan (Marica) Mirkovic; and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Novakovich was preceded in death by her siblings, Zivodarka (Muharem) Malsi and Dusanka Ikonic.
A funeral service was held Aug. 1 at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Libertyville, followed by interment at St. Sava Cemetery.
