Louise R. Kordat, 72 of Brookfield and formerly of LaGrange Park, died Oct. 24, 2011.
Ms. Kordat lived in Brookfield from 1964-77 and again from 1987 until her death. She lived in LaGrange Park from 1977-86. She worked for 35 years at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn as a substance abuse counselor, retiring in 2001. She also enjoyed cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Kordat, on Aug. 7, 1986. Ms. Kordat is survived by her sons, John, Kevin and Joel Kordat; her granddaughters, Ashley and Sarah Kordat; and her sister, Jeanine Gaughan.
The family has held a private memorial service.
