The Lions (9-4) advanced to the semifinals of the Neibch Holiday Classic before falling 47-43 to highly regarded Waubonsie Valley. Senior guard Colleen Connors paced LT with a game-high 15 points and sophomore Kayla Morrissey added eight points.
LT led 43-42 late in the game but Waubonsie Valley went on a 5-0 mini-spurt to punch its ticket to the title game against Glenbrook South. The fourth-seeded Lions also earned wins over Elgin and Elk Grove, but lost to West Aurora in the third-place game at Wheaton North.
