The Riverside-Brookfield High School Math Club placed third at the Metro Suburban Conference competition on Feb. 11 at Glenbard South High School. Students from RBHS placed in eight of nine categories, with the Algebra 2 team of Cassidy Fritsch, Annie Mitchell, Jackie Sandoval, Kelly Glavin, David Kidwell and Ken Sprague placing first.
Eight of the team’s 21 members got medals for their individual written contest, including freshmen Andrew Salij and David Buksa; sophomore Isabella Soluri; juniors Fritsch, Mitchell, Sprague and Kidwell; and senior Aron Perfect.
The next competition is the regional meet on Feb. 25 at Concordia University in River Forest.
