Kenneth J. Wilson, 69, of Plainfield and formerly of Brookfield, Detroit and Pontiac, Ill., died Feb. 27, 2012. Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

He was the husband of Kathryn Wilson (nee Kozar); the father of Kevin Wilson, Keith (Fern) Wilson and Kelli (Steve) Buresh; the grandfather of Julia, Hunter, Rowan and Jennifer; the brother of Ruth (the late Raymond) Platts, Betty (the late Clayton) Golden, John (Sharon) Wilson, Barbara (James) Golden and the later Raymond Wilson; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St., Brookfield. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church, 985 Lily Cache Lane, Bolingbrook, Ill. 60440-3131. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
