Kathryn Rimdzius (nee Kacmarek), 87, of North Riverside, died March 11, 2012 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Born in Chicago on July 28, 1924, she married Anthony F. Rimdzius, who preceded his wife in death. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Rimdzius worked as an executive assistant at the Indiana Michigan Corporation.
Ms. Rimdzius was the mother of Thomas (Susan) Rimdzius, Robert (Mary) Rimdzius, Donald (Carol) Rimdzius and Nancy (Jamey) Lill; the grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of nine; the sister of Joseph Kacey, Sophie (the late Carl) Nowak Sr., Mary Martha Kacmarek, the late Michael Kacmarek, the late Mary (the late Arthur) Zelezinski, the late Anna Marie Kacmarek, the late Andrew (the late Regina) Kacmarek and the late John (Mary Ann) Kacmarek.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at Mater Christi Church, 2431 10th Ave. in North Riverside, followed by interment at St. Casimir Cemetery.
