Casmere S. Stelmack, 96, a resident of Brookfield for more than five decades, died April 9, 2012 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Stelmack worked as a tool and die maker. He was employed for more than 10 years at GM’s Electro-Motive plant in McCook and for more than 10 years at the Naval Ordnance Plant in Forest Park. He retired in 1991.

He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Mr. Stelmack is survived by his wife of 71 years, Helen (nee Galasinski). The two married on Aug. 10, 1940 at St. Adalbert Church in Chicago and moved to Brookfield in 1956.

He is also survived by his daughter, Penny Roberts; his sons, Paul and Pat (Tina) Stelmack; his grandchildren, Patrick and Ashley Stelmack; and his great-grandson, Tyler Quiroz.

A funeral Mass was held April 13 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by entombment at Garden Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
