Marie B. Malacina (nee Kruzel), 89, of North Riverside, died April 23, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Chicago on Feb. 15, 1923 and later married Joseph Malacina, who preceded his wife in death. She worked as an office clerk for Sears Roebuck and Company until her retirement.
Ms. Malacina was the mother of the late Diane Malacina; the sister of the late Helen (the late Leo) Guerra, the late John (Geraldine) Kruzel, the late Blanche (the late Joseph) Sroka, the late Jean (Walter) Sarna and the late Edward Kruzel; the cousin of Marion Hughes; and the aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Services have been held. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
