Vlasta Svoboda (nee Helebrandt), 89, of Sun City, Ariz., and formerly of LaGrange Park and North Riverside, died April 19, 2012 in Sun City.
She was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Chicago and married Louis Svoboda, who preceded his wife in death. Ms. Svoboda worked as a secretary for a retail sales company prior to retirement.
Ms. Svoboda is survived by her children, Linda (Jim) Malone and Robert (Phillis) Svoboda; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert (Doris) Helebrandt.
Services have been held. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
