Stanley F. Wulkowicz, 90, of Elgin and formerly of Brookfield, died June 11, 2012.

Mr. Wulkowicz served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he was active in the Brookfield area, as a founding member and head usher at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, as a member of the Brookfield Police Auxiliary and as a member of the Graphic Arts International Union from 1947 to 2012.

He was the husband of the late Ann Wulkowicz (nee Kulak); the father of Irene (Roy) Strejc and Gregory (Beverly) Wulkowicz; the grandfather of Lisa (Aaron) Styles, Timothy (Robin) Strejc, Linda (Joseph) Nail and Kristen Wulkowicz; the great-grandfather of Anna Marie Nail, Ian James Styles and Sean Alexander Styles; the friend of Chris Nail; the brother of Elizabeth M. “Betty” (the late Joseph) Smuda, Sister Mary Stanislaus, the late Genevieve Grabowski, Matthew (Anne) Wulkowicz and Edward Wulkowicz and the uncle and great uncle of many.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church, 1144 Harrison Ave. in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
