Vivian K. Porak (nee Kandlik), 92, of Orland Park and formerly of Brookfield, died Sept. 19, 2012 at the Smith Crossing retirement community in Orland Park.

Ms. Porak was born in Chicago on Feb. 29, 1920 to Frank and Marie Kandlik. She married Adolph Porak, who preceded his wife in death.

She worked as an assistant comptroller for the Dell E. Webb Corporation in Oak Brook and was a Meals-On-Wheels volunteer for many years. Ms. Porak was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Christ and their Dorcas Chapter for more than 50 years. She was also a longtime member of Bohemia Chapter #763, Riverside.

Ms. Porak was the mother of Robert Porak, Marlene (Randall) Barthel and Wesley (Patricia) Porak; the grandmother of Brett (Lindsay) Porak, Brandon (Deanna) Barthel, Eric (Alyson) Porak, Christopher (Shiri) Barthel and Dustin Porak; the great-grandmother of five; and the sister of the late Charles (Angela) Kandlik and the late Frank (the late Florence) Kandlik.

Funeral services have been held. Interment was at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
