June L. Campana (nee VanWie), 82, of Riverside, died Dec. 7, 2012.
Ms. Campana volunteered at Brookfield Zoo for more than 30 years and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
She was the wife of the late Primo Campana for 47 years; the mother of Dina Behrens, Lisa Buckner and Paula (Chris) Byington; “mom” to Chris (Jeanette) and Scot (Andrea) Hastings; the grandmother of Daniel Buckner, Eric Buckner and Nicholas Behrens; the sister, aunt and great aunt to many; “Grandma June” to Dallas Hastings, Austin Hastings and Taewon Netisingha of Thailand.
A celebration of Ms. Campana’s life will be held on a future date. Memorial donations are appreciated to White Sox Charities or Brookfield Zoo.
