James P. Duff, 64, of Brookfield, died Jan. 7, 2013.
Born on Nov. 25, 1948, Mr. Duff served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the state of Illinois.
Mr. Duff was the husband of Susan A. Duff (nee Egan); the father of Bridgette Duff, Sean (Georgia) Duff, Ann Duff and Meghan (Jason) Gunia; the grandfather of Michal Gunia, Brayden Duff, Philip Duff, Owen Duff, Vivian Gunia, Colin Duff and Charlotte Gunia; and the uncle of two nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 11 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
