Raymond V. Gworek, 88, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died March 23, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Gworek moved to Brookfield in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed for more than 30 years as a sales representative for the Madison Equipment Company in Chicago, retiring in 1985.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who operated the Fin and Feather Club in Savanna, Ill.

Mr. Gworek was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Gworek (nee Krazan), and his stepsons, Anton and Rick Matous.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gworek (nee Rodgers); his daughter, Darlene Rae (Terry) Piper; his son, Larry Gworek; his stepson, Jerry (Sharon) Matous; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great grandchild and five step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 27 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11 a.m. funeral service at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9035 Grant Ave., Brookfield, followed by interment at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Forest Park.
