The Reverend Jennifer Fisher will be installed as pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the 10:00 a.m. worship service. The Rev. Héctor Garfias-Toledo, Associate to the Bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, will preside at the installation.

Pastor Fisher earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in 2010. After her ordination, she was called as an associate pastor at Living Lord Lutheran in Bartlett, Illinois, and served there until March 2013. Prior to entering the seminary, Pastor Fisher had a 12-year career in the financial services industry where she eventually became a Vice President and Senior Business Analyst in the Global Securities and Control Division at Northern Trust in Chicago.

Pastor Fisher is a native of Southeastern Pennsylvania and a 1993 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She moved to the Chicago area in 1994 and started working at Kemper Insurance in Long Grove. She worked in the financial services industry for twelve years before resigning from Northern Trust to enter the seminary. Pastor Fisher is married to Greg Moser, an ordained pastor serving at Lutheran Church of the Master in Carol Stream and an Army National Guard Chaplain. Pastor Fisher has three step-children ranging in ages from 14 to 20.
