Bernadette A. Gorman (nee Mulligan), 87, of Brookfield and formerly of Riverside and Berwyn, died May 4, 2013.
Born in Stroudsburg, Penn., on Sept.25, 1925, she later married John J. Gorman, who preceded his wife in death. Ms. Gorman worked in the payroll department at the Western Electric Company in Cicero prior to retirement.
Ms. Gorman was the mother of John M. (Lynda) Gorman, Margaret Mary Gorman, Jean (Dr. Gary) Barnett, Dale (Andrea) Gorman and the late Bernadette Gorman; the grandmother of Ryan Gorman, Kevin Barnett and Lauren Barnett; the sister of the late Peggy Keenan; and the aunt of many.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Celle Church, 1428 S. Wesley Ave. in Berwyn.
