The Riverside-Brookfield boys and girls cross country teams will host the Bulldog 24-Hour Challenge at the school’s track. Starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 30 and ending at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 31, the 24-hour run will have at least one boy and one girl from the Bulldogs’ cross country programs on the field at all times.
The purpose of the run is to raise money for the cross country teams to help fund pasta parties, t-shirts, sweats, jackets and other items of need for the season. The event is open to the public. Community members are encouraged to join the run (suggested donation is $1 a lap) or simply just to cheer on and encourage the runners.
The RBHS cross country program is looking for businesses to sponsor or donate the event. Donations can be monetary, food, or items to be used for raffle and prizes.
