John M. Fajdich Jr., 83, of Brookfield, died Sept.4, 2013 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Born Aug. 27, 1930 in Oak Park, Mr. Fajdich served in the U.S Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked as a welder for Reynolds Aluminum in McCook prior to retirement.
He was the father of Robert Fajdich and Dawn Fajdich; the grandfather of Nicholas Fajdich; the brother of Manda Klancir, Eva (Frank) Cvitanovitch, the late Mike (Carmen) Fajdich and the late Rose (Leroy) Saban; the son of the late Mary (nee Kolovich) and John M. Fajdich Sr.; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Sept. 6 at Faith Lutheran Church in Brookfield, followed by inurnment at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood.
