James C. Vanecek III, 35, of Berwyn and formerly of Brookfield, died Oct. 23, 2013.
Mr. Vanecek graduated from Lyons Township High School and from DeVry Uni-versity in 1998. He was employed as an engineer for an underwriting firm.
He was the son of James C. Vanecek Jr. and Kathleen K. Vanecek (nee Herbert); the father of James C. Vanecek IV and Caleigh J. Vanecek; the brother of Valerie L. (Peter Salerno Jr.) Vanecek, Victoria L. Vanecek and John A. Vanecek; and the uncle of three nephews and nieces.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 28 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
