Police should send out animal control

Brookfield police should be willing to help injured animals or should call animal control to come out and take care of it.

I was on my way home from the library and I saw an injured rabbit. I called the Brookfield police and the dispatcher said, “You can take it to Willowbrook Wildlife.” They should have said, “Stay with the rabbit and we will call animal control to take care of it.”

If they would have said that, the rabbit would still have been alive. But, no, I called my dad and we brought it home and left it in our garage. We were going to take it to Willowbrook Wildlife on Sunday, but it passed away.

This would not have happened if the Brookfield police called animal control out.
