There will be a referendum question on the ballot on Nov. 4, asking the citizens of the village of Riverside to roll over existing 10-year street bonds and allow the village to reissue the bonds to the amount of $2.5 million for the purpose of repaving streets.

Ten years ago this referendum was approved by 80 percent of the voters. This approval will not increase our taxes.

My street, Lawton Road, is in terrible shape and needs immediate repair. There are many other streets that also need repair. I urge all citizens to vote in favor of this referendum.
