The article “Riverside shares the gift of a quality education” (News, Oct. 22) was very well written and inspiring. The Landmark is lucky to have such a talented writer as Jackie Glosniak.
Claire Cheney’s experiences teaching in Englewood and in tutoring kids in poor neighborhoods in St. Louis have brought her a long way from Riverside. Hopefully her example will inspire future students to find careers that are dedicated to making a difference in this world.
I am proud to have taught both of these young women and very proud to have spent my whole career at Riverside-Brookfield High School. I cannot wait to read about what these two young women will be doing next
