Fenwick senior Olivia Ryan earned all-state recognition for the fourth straight season at the Class 3A state finals in girls cross-country held at Detweiller Park in Peoria over the weekend. Ryan, who finished 18th in the individual results, ran a time of 17 minutes, 16 seconds to lead the Friars to a 18th place finish in the team standings. Freshman Anne Mannion (82nd/18:04) and Nicole Finn (123rd/18:24) also ran well for the Friars.
Sarah Winkiel (18:59), Margaret O’Brien (19:45), Mary Grace Babbo (19:56) and Maddie Bilbo (20:17) also represented Fenwick at state.
The Friars scored 466 points to record the best score of any private school in Illinois.
