Viola Mikulka (nee Janosko), 81, of North Riverside, died on Oct. 16, 2015 in Westmont.
Born on Aug. 9, 1934 in Chicago, she was an avid piano player and church organist as a young adult. Viola was also an accompanist for school and church choirs and for instrumental solo contests. She was a secretary for a car manufacturer.
Ms. Mikulka is survived by her children, Daniel (Adrienne) Mikulka and Diane (Dominick) Ritacco; and her grandchildren, Nickolas and Nina. She was an aunt to four and a godmother and cousin to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miro Mikulka, and her brother, George Janosko.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 3 to 9 pm at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. Funeral will be on Oct. 22, with lying in state at 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Woodside Road in Riverside, followed by interment at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
