The work of visual artist Jacqueline J. Nalls will be on display throughout the month of January in the lobby of the North Riverside Luxury 6 Theatre, located at 7501 Cermak Road in North Riverside.
“I create art to explore and fortify my personal connection to the universe and humanity,” Nalls said. “I believe the act of creating art is what grounds artists to the universe on a spiritual level.”
Nalls, a native of Chicago’s south suburbs, believes the unique exchange between a work of art and each viewer is powerful. She received a bachelor’s degree from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. After graduation, she focused on creating murals and abstract paintings. She has participated in several group and solo exhibits including the Zhou B Art Center and Union Street Gallery, where she is a member.
Each month, the North Riverside Luxury 6 Theatre provides lobby space to display the works of local artisans.
