Ronald R. Weden, 66, of Brookfield, died March 1, 2016 at Loyola University Medical Center.

Mr. Weden served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and worked for 28 years as a tool-and-die machinist at International Harvester in Melrose Park, retiring in 2007. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 6 and was known as a “Mr. Fix-It.”

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Travis-Weden (nee Brunsting); his sons, Ronald (Catherine) Weden and Matthew Weden; his stepdaughter, Lisa (Scott) Dunning; his grandchildren, Gianna Weden, Dameon Weden, Charlotte Dunning and Caleb Dunning; and his sister, Linda Verner.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 12 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., when there will be a memorial service, at Johnson Funeral Home, 3845-47 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield. Committal is private.
