Rosalie Karlovsky, 78, of Riverside, died on April 16, 2016. 

Born on May 25, 1937, she was a retired music teacher working at schools in Chicago, Cicero and the Indian Springs school districts and a member of the Chicago Teachers Union, West Suburban Teachers Union 571, and the A.A.U.W. 

Ms. Karlovsky is survived by her cousin, George (Laverne) Kotty; her niece and nephews, Christopher Kotty, Maryfrances (Thomas) Rupp and Raymond (Kim) Kotty; her great-nieces and nephews, James Kotty, Jonathon Kotty, Nicholas Kotty, Teah Rupp, Ethan Rupp, Reven Rupp and Zachary Rupp; neighbors and friends, Claudia and Ladd Kulhanek; and her “special nephews,” Ladd and Jonathon Kulhanek. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna nee Matousek; and her sister, Maryann R. 

Visitation is on Wednesday, April 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, April 21 at 9 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St. in Riverside, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Forest Park.
