Christopher Doherty, 36, of Brookfield, died on September 22, 2016.
He was born on April 10, 1980, graduated from Lyons Township High School, and was self-employed in the caregiving field. Mr. Doherty was best known for his quest for knowledge, his intellect and his deep thoughts. He was well-spoken and self-educated, gave the best hugs ever, and loved the bands Phish and Umphrey’s McGee, according to his aunt. Kristina Sherwood.
Mr. Doherty is survived by his son, Christopher Doherty; his mother, Kelly (Rick) Shenkel Radde (Rick); his brother, Ryan Michael Doherty; his aunt, Kristina (Jim) Shenkel Sherwood; his first love and mother of his son, Jackie Montoya, along with Jax’s beloved, John and his brother, Draven; his grandparents, George August Shenkel and Momma Sherry Ivey and Wanda and Doug. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eileen Petrick Shenkel, and his uncle, Brian Shenkel.
