Eve P. Rimas (nee Polanowski), 96, of Brookfield, died on Jan. 18, 2018 at La Grange Memorial Hospital.
Born on Aug. 3, 1921 in Chetek, Wisconsin, she was a retired supervisor at Simmons Furniture. Ms. Rimas loved gardening and had a victory garden during World War II. According to her family, “She was growing organic before organic was a thing.”
Ms. Rimas was the wife of the late John J.; the mother of Sharon Rimas and Jerry (Janet) Rimas; and the grandmother of Lisa Marie Rimas, Jeffrey Rimas and Julie (Kevin) Sandy.
Services have been held. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
