Edward J. Klimah, 90, of LaGrange Park, died on April 20, 2018.
Born on Jan. 17, 1928, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a proud husband and father, successful businessman, avid traveler with his wife, Bernice, and a man devoted to his faith.
Mr. Klimah was the husband of the late Bernice M. Klimah (nee Wascher); the father of Carol Ann (the late Tad) Sieck, Susan (Tim) Held, John (Cheryl) Klimah and Paul (Wendy) Klimah; the grandfather of Daniel (Myranda) Held, Rebecca (Dakota) Hughes, Jeremy Held, Alyssa Sieck, Lindsey Sieck, Carl Klimah and Scott Klimah; the brother of Emil (the late Arlene) Klimah and Esther (Art) Hartwig; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held April 23 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in LaGrange Park with interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to St. Michael Lutheran Church, Library Fund, 500 E. 31st St., LaGrange Park, 60526.
