The Riverside Junior Woman’s Charity (RJWC) has announced its 2017-18 fundraising results. A total of $30,720 was raised by the organization and donated to local community organizations, service agencies and families in need.

This fundraising was achieved through the hard work and commitment of the RJWC members and generous support of local businesses and individual donors.

Riverside Juniors voted in May to make the following philanthropic allocations:

  • Community (supporting community events, local partnerships): $6,395
  • Children’s support agencies: $3,375
  • Programs supporting seniors: $2,000
  • Veterans support: $1,150
  • General support agencies (services to battered or homeless women and families, adults with disabilities, and others in need): $5,500
  • Scholarship: $1,500
  • Local families: $10,800

Fundraising efforts this year included Riverside Gives at the Holiday Stroll, a Winter Hootenanny, a Spring Brews Cruise, and the year-round Giving Partnership, through which local artists and businesses agree to donate a percentage of their sales to RJWC.

RJWC is a 501(c)3 philanthropic organization focused on local causes and charities and caring for the needs of individuals in the community.

Former President Susan Zidlicky said, “We thank our sponsors and everyone who attended our events and supported our causes.”
