North Riverside celebrated the Fourth of July with its annual parade last week – which featured a star turn by Doofus the Camel, who was a hit with the crowd that lined the parade route and the party in the park afterward. Doofus generally stayed on course, except for a brief off-track saunter near 8th Avenue. | Submitted
