Martin F. Biskowski, 56, of Sacramento, California and formerly of North Riverside, died Jan. 8, 2019.
Dr. Biskowski graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1980, received his B.A. (mathematics and anthropology) from Beloit College in 1984, and his M.A. and Ph.D. (anthropology) from UCLA in 1997.
He loved being a college professor and was an influential member of the anthropology faculty of Sacramento State University since 2002. A scholar of Mexican prehistory, Dr. Biskowski was a veteran of many research expeditions to the archaeological digs at Teotihuacan. He was a friend and valued colleague to his fellow professors, and an engaging instructor to thousands of students. He will be sorely missed.
Dr. Biskowski was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sherlane, and a brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his two sisters, Katherine (Stephen) and Rosalie (David) and eight nieces and nephews.
Private interment will be at Bohemian National Cemetery.
