Richard S. Olmstead, 69, of North Riverside, died on April 22, 2019.
Born on Nov. 15, 1949 in Cicero, he was a retired engineer who had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Olmstead was the husband of Claudia (nee Zavislak); the stepfather of Michael (Amanda) Madick and Sam (Jenny) Williamson; the step-grandfather of Joey, Abby and Zachary; and a brother and uncle to many.
Visitation is on Sunday, May 5 from noon to 3 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside followed by a memorial service with military honors at 2:30 p.m.
