Richard G. Dunleavy, 61 of Brookfield, died Nov. 22, 2020.
Mr. Dunleavy attended Hollywood Elementary School and began his lifelong passion for motorsports when he began racing quarter midgets. He attended Hauser Jr. High and Riverside-Brookfield High School, where he played football and grew his enthusiasm for racing.
He had a career as an electrical designer for many years. When Mr. Dunleavy was not travelling to race tracks around the Midwest, where he was a member of several driving and racing associations, he was either snowmobiling or spending time with his friends and family.
Mr. Dunleavy truly cared about the well-being of everyone around him, whether he was acting as the neighborhood mechanic, driving his family to hockey tournaments or hosting friends in his all-too-well-known garage.
He was the husband of Robin (nee Gillson); the father of William; the brother of Thomas; and a cousin and friend of many.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 28 at St. Mary Church in Riverside.
