Evelyn M. Kasher (nee Pinta), 97 formerly of Brookfield, died March 3, 2021 in Streamwood.
Born in Chicago on Oct. 3, 1923, Ms. Kasher was a longtime member of St. Barbara Church, where she was a Sacrastine Helper and a member of the Council of Catholic Women and Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Kasher; the mother of Carol (late Charles) Matrona and Richard Kasher; the grandmother of Anne Bixby, Matt Matrona, Pamela Reineke, Steve Kasher; the great-grandmother of Nikki, Jason, Justin, Angel, Ryan, Caroline and Paige; and the aunt of Sandy Ritze, Susan McCreery, Craig Kasher and Diane Eslinger.
Services have been held. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences may be offered to the family at JohnsonNosek.com.
