Janet Rae Haney died peacefully in November 2020.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1940, in Chicago to Raymond and Geraldine Prosser Haney (both deceased). She was soon joined by a sister and brother.
The family moved to Brookfield in 1950. Ms. Haney attended S.E. Gross School and graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1957. She worked for Continental Insurance from 1957 until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Louise de Marillac Parish and volunteered at CatNap from the Heart for many years.
Ms. Haney is survived by her sister, Joellen “Josie” (Don Kinser) of Hillsboro, Oregon, and brother, Jordan (Janet) Haney of Darien and her many friends.
Cremation followed by interment at Hinsdale Pet Cemetery, where she joins her mother and their many cats and dogs.
