Joseph A. Peck IV, 83, of Countryside, died March 18, 2021.
Born Aug. 12, 1937 in Melrose Park to Joseph and Marie Peck, Mr. Peck was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired Brookfield police sergeant. He was a past member of Norway Lutheran church in Wisconsin and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Westchester, and in Burlington, Wisconsin.
Mr. Peck loved spending time with family and friends but especially with his grandchildren. Joseph was an avid sports fan and his two favorite sports teams were the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox.
He is survived by his two children, Joseph A. Peck V and Karen (Richard) VanCura; his grandsons, Cole (fiancée Hannah) and Xander; and his brother, John C. Peck. He was a cousin and uncle to many. Mr. Peck was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma T. Peck, and his parents, Joseph and Marie (nee Druzik) Peck.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace. The family would love for everyone that is attending to wear a favorite sports team jersey. Service and burial will be private.
