Stockings for Soldiers & Veterans

Now – Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home

From now until Dec. 6, you can stop in at Kurato-Nosek Funeral Home and pick up a Christmas stocking to take home. You can decorate it and fill it with Christmas cheer! Your bundle of Christmas cheer will be stocked and shipped to troops abroad or veterans at home just in time for the holiday. Christmas is a time of giving and happiness, so make sure everyone can participate and feel the love this holiday season. Once you pick up your stocking, a list of recommended stocking stuffers will be provided as a guideline. “Providing our heroes with some good tidings and holiday cheer is a great way for us to show our support and appreciation for the sacrifices they make to keep our country safe and secure,” said Frank Nosek Jr., the funeral home owner. Besides stockings, the funeral home is also looking for donations of old cell phones to give to troops, as well. 2447 S. Desplaines Ave., North Riverside.
