Riverside Brookfield High School

* College sports plans: Golf at the University of Missouri-St. Louis; NCAA Division II
* College major: Sports Management
* Future goals: “To elevate women in sports and ultimately work within the NFL organization.”
* Reasons I chose UMSL: “UMSL has a very competitive program as well as a young team that I can grow with. I also liked head coach Troy Halterman’s philosophy of balancing academics with the sport and his motivation style. UMSL’s Sports Management program is one of the top programs in the state so that was important to me. In addition, they have multiple internship opportunities that I can take advantage of even as a freshman.”
* Recruiting memories: “I was fortunate enough to tour a few schools and see some really nice golf courses.”
* On playing college sports: “Playing at the collegiate level has always been a goal of mine. I am competitive by nature so playing sports provides me an outlet for that energy and it allows me to meet people along the way. I always knew I wanted to play collegiate sports, but golf wasn’t on my radar until I started playing at RB during COVID. I would say I got more serious my sophomore year of high school when I started training with a swing coach and started competing with the Illinois Junior Golf Association over summer.
* What I learned from high school sports: “Playing with the RB golf team was great fun and a definite launching pad for me. I’m grateful for [head coach Doug Schultz and assistant coach Jason Rech] for being with me at the start as they made learning the sport fun and allowed me to grow and learn without pressuring me, as I put a lot of pressure on myself.
