* College sports plans: Football at St. Thomas University (St. Paul, Minn.); NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision

* College major: Business

* Future goals: “Academic goals are to get a degree and end up with a good job. And football-wise to lead to the FCS championship.”

* Reasons I chose St. Thomas: “(Head coach Glenn) Caruso has a winning history and he is a great person outside of being a great coach.”

* Recruiting memories: “I was in contact with the coaches and they wanted to see me in person so I went to Minneapolis for a camp. I performed really well at their camp and they took me into their locker room telling me they wanted me to be their next quarterback.”

* On playing college sports: “I love football and it gives me something to constantly do that I enjoy doing. I also feel like I haven’t reached my full potential yet so I want to see what I am able to do at the next level. I made this decision after the high school season was over. I didn’t want to worry about recruiting during the season so after the season was over it was really a no brainer to commit to St. Thomas.”

* What I learned from high school sports: “High school football taught me so much. But mostly it taught me discipline. While most kids are sleeping at 6 a.m. on a hot summer day we are out on the field going all out. A lot of people want to play football but not a lot of people want to do that.”
