* Future goals: “Career goals once football is done for me is to become a successful businessman and maybe open up a restaurant.”
* Reasons I chose Illinois: “I really like (head coach Bret Bielema) and his staff he has put together, like (co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Terrance Jamison). I also chose Illinois because it is a very prestigious university and considered a public Ivy League-type school.”
* Recruiting memories: “It definitely was a long recruiting process and I ended up committing off of my official visit and ended up canceling my other visits. I had that gut feeling that pulled me into this program and I do not regret my decision.”
* What I learned from high school sports: “One thing I have learned was that you have to stay humble and not expect anything to be handed to you. It is all earned through hard work and dedication. You have to want it more than anyone else working beside you or against you.”
